Milkcrate is launching late 2026. These docs show how it will work.

Account types and capabilities

Milkcrate has four account types: Creator, Professional, Business and Other. They all cost the same, and you can change yours any time.

Every account is one of four types. You choose yours on the first screen of sign-up, and you can change it later. The type decides which sections your account has. Your industry narrows them a little more. Every type costs the same.

Listen is for music and podcast episodes you appear on. Events is for events you run, attend or promote. Menu is only for food industries. A personal chef, caterer or baker lists what they offer under Services.

Booking comes with Services. Table reservations and online ordering come with Menu, so they are only for Business and Other accounts in food industries. Creators don’t have booking, and Professionals don’t have reservations or ordering.

Creator

Your work and your audience on one page: videos, photos, links, music, events and things you sell. There are no services, reviews or business pages.

Professional

Everything a Creator has, plus Services and Reviews, so clients can see what you offer and what people say about you.

Business

Everything a Professional has, plus Menu if you’re in food, and Business pages. Business pages are the parts that make a site a venue’s site:

  • Business details: address, opening hours, contact details and a description.
  • Your business’s brand as the identity of your site.
  • Booking for the whole business, with no team member to pick.
  • Full Google Business sync, which also sets your display name from Google.
  • A multipage site.
  • Online ordering, if you’re in food.

Other

Every section a Professional has, plus Menu if you’re in food. Other doesn’t have Business pages. Accounts that arrive through the Instagram chat start as Other.

Switching account type

Go to Settings → Account and choose a different type under Account type. It’s free and takes effect straight away.

Nothing is deleted. Sections the new type doesn’t have are hidden from your site and your dashboard. A food business that switches to Creator keeps its menu, hidden. Switch back and the same menu returns.

Pricing is announced at launch.
