Milkcrate is launching late 2026. These docs show how it will work.

Your Identity page

Your name, photo, about text and contact details. A business also sets its logos and opening hours here.

The Identity page holds the name, photo, about text and contact details your site shows. Every account type uses it, but the fields are different. A Creator has a stage name and a management contact, with no address and no workplace card. A Professional has a workplace and, for mobile trades, a service area. An Other account has the personal fields. A Business has its address and opening hours, with Your business, its logos and Contact.

Name, industry and photo

On a Professional or Other account, the About you card has four rows. Display name is the name at the top of your site, up to 255 characters. Industry is your line of work. Your name is what Milkcrate calls you in emails and the dashboard. It never appears on your site. About you is your bio, covered below.

Industry shapes the suggestions you see and which pages you can use. A food business gets a Menu page, for example. See Your content for the full list.

The Profile photo card takes a PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB. Milkcrate uses it as your site’s icon in browser tabs. It can also be the picture that shows when someone shares your link. Remove it and the icon goes back to your initial.

A business has no personal photo. Its Your business card holds Business name, Display name and Industry instead, and its brand sits in the logos.

About text and public contact

On a Professional or Other account, About you takes up to 1,000 characters. The Public contact card has an Email and a Phone. Visitors see both on your site. They are separate from the contact details in your account settings, which stay private.

A business writes its About text in the About row of the Your business card, also up to 1,000 characters. It fills the about section of the site. The same card has a Previous website row. Milkcrate scans that site for content to bring across. It never shows on your site.

The business Contact card has Email, Phone and Address. They appear on your site’s contact section, and the address also feeds the map. Opening hours is its own card. Each day has an Open switch and open and close times in 15-minute steps, in your local time zone. A day can have more than one period, such as a split shift kept from Google. A close time earlier than the open time runs past midnight.

Your workplace

Professional accounts have a workplace card. Creator accounts don’t. Until you connect one it is titled Connect your workplace, and afterwards Your workplace. It takes a Google Business listing for the place you work. If Milkcrate has already found one, the card asks “Is this your workplace?” Press Yes to connect it, or Not mine to see the next one. With nothing found, you search Google for it. If you work on the move, as a mobile trade does, you also set a service area.

Once connected, Change lets you pick a different listing. Save replaces the old listing’s name, address, phone and hours with the new one’s. Whether the workplace gets a page of its own on your site is a Shown or Hidden switch in the Pages card on the Site page.

Logos

A business has two logo cards. Full logo is your wordmark or full brand mark, and Square mark is your icon. Each takes a PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB. After you upload one, Milkcrate removes the background and tries to make a vector version, and shows you each step. If a slot is empty, Milkcrate offers logos it found on your connected integrations and website. Pick one, or upload your own. You can also set both during Get started.

Fields locked by Google sync

If your account can use full Google Business sync and you’ve connected Google Business, your details come from the listing. Business name, About, Phone, Address and Opening hours show a Google Business badge and are locked. Industry locks too when it came from Google. Display name follows the listing on a business account. Email is never taken from Google. Change the listing on Google and Milkcrate refreshes the page from it on a schedule.

The × on a badge applies to Business name, About, Phone, Address and Opening hours. Press it and confirm “Stop updating from Google?” Milkcrate stops updating that field and the value is yours. Press the ↻ on the badge to go back to Google’s value. That replaces what you typed, so it asks first. Display name and Industry can only be changed on Google.

Only Business accounts have fields locked by Google sync.

Saving your changes

Nothing on this page saves as you type. Open a row, change it, and a bar appears at the bottom with Discard and Save. Your changes do not reach your site until you press Save.
