Milkcrate is launching late 2026. These docs show how it will work.

Going live and pausing

Your site is public when you finish sign-up. Home shows whether it is Live, Paused or Offline, and Settings is where you pause it.

There is no publish button to press. Your site is public at its address once you finish sign-up. You can pause it at any time and turn it back on when you’re ready.

The “Your site” card

Home is the first page of the dashboard. Its “Your site” card shows a picture of your site and a badge with its state:

  • Live: anyone can open your address.
  • Paused: visitors see an offline page. The card has a “Turn back on” button.
  • Offline: visitors can’t see the site, and the card says why. The site is offline while your account is being deleted.

When the site is Live, the card has “View site”, which opens it, and “Share”, which opens the address and QR code. See share your site.

Pausing your site

Go to Settings, then Domain, and turn on “Pause your site”. Milkcrate asks you to confirm. While the site is paused, visitors see a page that says the site is offline. You can keep editing, and nothing is deleted.

A paused site shows a banner on the Domain page with a “Go live” button. Turning the switch off does the same thing. Milkcrate asks you to confirm that too.

What else is on Home

Below the site card, “To do” shows one task at a time, such as an integration to fix or a section to turn on. It disappears when nothing needs you. “This week” shows how many people visited your site, with a “See more” link to Analytics.

Pausing doesn’t change your address

A paused site keeps its address, and Milkcrate keeps your content. Nobody else can take the address while you’re paused. Turn the site back on and it is public again.
