Terms of Use
Version 1 · Last updated 27 September 2026
These terms are the agreement for using Partna: your account, your page and the tools that keep it up to date. We’ve tried to keep them plain. Where the law gives you rights, nothing here takes them away.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [owner: entity legal name], a company incorporated in New Zealand (company number [owner: NZ company number], NZBN [owner: NZBN]), trading as [owner: trading name] (“Partna”, “we” and “us”). Our registered office is [owner: registered office address].
They cover your Partna account, your Partna page, the dashboard at app.partna.au and everything else we provide with them. By creating an account or claiming a page, you agree to them.
Our Acceptable Use Policy (partna.au/acceptable-use) is part of these terms. Our Privacy Policy (partna.au/privacy) explains how we handle personal information.
If you use Partna for a business, you agree to these terms for that business too, and you confirm you’re allowed to.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to have a Partna account. People who visit Partna pages don’t need an account and aren’t restricted by age.
Give us accurate details and keep them up to date, in particular an email address that’s yours: it’s how you sign in and how we reach you.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.
An account has one page. A Business account is for a business you own or are authorised to act for.
Claiming a page
We sometimes build a Partna page from a person’s or a business’s public listings before anyone has an account for it, so they can see it first. Until someone claims it, the page can be public, and we delete it when its time to be claimed runs out.
To claim a page, you sign in with an email address you’ve confirmed, with a code we send to it or through Google. If we built the page for a particular email address, only that address can claim it.
Only claim a page that’s about you, or about a business you’re authorised to act for. We may ask you to show that a page is yours. If someone else shows us that it’s theirs, we can take the page back from you, give it to them or take it down.
Your page and your content
Your content is yours: what you write, what you upload and what your page brings in from the platforms you connect. These terms don’t transfer ownership of it to us.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, format, resize and display your content, and to publish it on your page and wherever your page is shared or indexed, such as in search results and link previews. We use this licence only to run Partna for you. It ends when you remove the content or your account is deleted, apart from copies in backups, which expire on their own schedule, and anything other people have already shared.
You’re responsible for what your page shows. Only publish content you have the right to use, and make sure it’s accurate and lawful. Partna chooses and arranges content for your page automatically, so check what it shows, and hide or remove anything you don’t want there.
Your page’s address uses your handle (yourname.partna.au). We can change or take back a handle that impersonates someone or uses a name or trade mark you have no right to.
Connected platforms
When you connect a platform such as Instagram, a Google Business Profile, a booking or events platform or YouTube, you ask us to read your public information there, through that platform or the service providers we use, and to show it on your page and keep it up to date.
Only connect accounts and listings that are yours or that you’re authorised to use. That platform’s own terms still apply to you and to your content there.
Partna isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms. If one of them changes or stops what we rely on, your page may stop updating from it, and we can’t promise it will start again.
You can disconnect a platform in your dashboard at any time, and you can tell us not to bring a particular item back onto your page.
The policies we generate for your page
Your page comes with a privacy policy and terms that we generate, using your name, your page’s address and your public contact email. They describe how Partna runs your page.
They’re a starting point, not legal advice. You decide whether they suit your business, and you can replace either one with your own text in your dashboard. Whichever you publish, it’s your page’s policy and you’re responsible for it.
Acceptable use
Follow our Acceptable Use Policy (partna.au/acceptable-use). It lists what can’t go on a Partna page, how anyone can report a page, and what we do when a page breaks the rules.
Don’t use Partna in a way that breaks the law or harms other people, and don’t try to get into accounts or systems that aren’t yours, disrupt Partna or get around its limits.
Fees
Partna is free while we’re in early access. If we start charging, we’ll email you at least 30 days before any charge applies to you, and your dashboard will show the price first. We never charge you unless you’ve added a payment method.
Suspending or closing an account
If your page or your account breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, we can respond in the ways that policy sets out, from a warning to hiding content, hiding your page, suspending your account or closing it for good. We choose what fits how serious the problem is and whether it has happened before. For anything stronger than a warning, we email you and tell you why, unless law enforcement asks us not to. You can ask us to look again by replying to that email.
We can also act straight away where the law requires it, or to protect people, Partna or our service providers from harm.
We can close an account for any other reason, for example if we stop offering Partna, by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. Your page goes offline, and for 30 days you can change your mind and cancel the deletion. After that we delete your account, your page and your content, apart from anything the law requires us to keep and copies in backups, which expire on their own schedule. Before you delete, you can download a copy of your data from the same page.
Data we handle for you
Your page collects information about the people who use it: visits and clicks (with an approximate location, the browser type, a scrambled form of the visitor’s IP address and a random visitor ID kept in their browser), enquiries sent through your page’s forms, the customer records made from those enquiries or added by you, and the email addresses of people who subscribe to your updates. This section applies to that information.
You decide to collect it and what to do with it, and you’re responsible for your obligations to those people under privacy law. We handle it for you, to run your page and your dashboard, to deliver enquiries and emails, and to keep Partna secure and free of spam and abuse. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to market our own products to your visitors or customers.
We protect it with reasonable security measures, and only people on our team who need it to support you, investigate a problem or meet a legal requirement can access it. Our service providers (hosting, database, email and security) process it for us under obligations to keep it confidential and secure. Some of them are outside Australia and New Zealand; our Privacy Policy lists them and where they are.
If a security incident affects this information, we’ll tell you without undue delay and give you what we know, so you can meet your own obligations. If one of your visitors or customers asks us about their information, we’ll point them to you and help you respond.
You can export it from your dashboard whenever you like. When your account is deleted, it’s deleted with your account, as described above. Our Privacy Policy sets out how long we keep each kind while your account is open.
Our service
We work to keep Partna available and your page online, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we sometimes take it offline for maintenance.
Partna is changing as we build it. We may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance.
The Partna name, logo, dashboard and the design of Partna pages are ours or used with permission. Using Partna doesn’t give you any rights to them beyond using Partna as these terms allow.
Consumer law and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes a right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act, or any other law that can’t be excluded.
Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, neither you nor we are liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability to you for anything to do with Partna is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss, or A$100 if that’s more.
Those limits don’t apply to loss caused by fraud, or by wilful misconduct.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. For a material change, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in your dashboard. If you don’t agree with a change, you can cancel your plan or delete your account before it takes effect. If you keep using Partna after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [owner: governing law], and you and we can bring proceedings about them in the courts there. This doesn’t take away the protection of the consumer law of the country you live in, or a right to bring a claim where that law allows.
General
These terms, with the Acceptable Use Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Partna. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
We may transfer these terms to a business that takes over Partna, and we’ll tell you if we do. You can’t transfer your account without our agreement.
We send notices to the email address on your account. You can send yours to the address at the bottom of this page.
